Company Profile

Dynasplint Systems, Inc.

Company Overview

Dynasplint Systems, Inc., the pioneer and market leader in dynamic splinting since 1981, aids in restoring physical function and more importantly, quality of life, to patients with joint stiffness and limited range of motion caused by injury, trauma, surgery or disease.

The key to its effectiveness is the low-load, prolonged-duration stretch (LLPS) technology that delivers a correct biological stimulus to create a permanent length change in shortened connective tissue. Dynasplint® Systems are simple, yet reliable in design and function. Developed for home use, they are an ideal adjunct to doctors’ and therapists’ standard protocols.

Experience, Reliability, Knowledge, Service, Support – Results.

Company History

Based on seven years of clinical experience working in an acute general hospital, private physical therapy practice and nursing home settings, George R. Hepburn, P.T., envisioned a tremendous need for a sophisticated dynamic splinting system to treat the widespread problem of joint stiffness and contractures seen in nearly every clinical setting involved in rehabilitative medicine.

In 1981 the Dynasplint System--a dynamic splint--was born. Today patients can be prescribed Dynasplint Systems as soon as they are cleared for passive ROM therapy. The key to the systems' effectiveness is a low-load, prolonged-duration stretch (LLPS) technology that delivers a biomechanically correct stimulus to create a permanent length change in shortened connective tissue. The device mimics a therapist's hands and gives an additional six to eight hours per day of gentle stretching, constantly seeking the end range on the affected joint.

In August 2013 the company underwent a major restructuring and we are now in the rebuilding stage, hiring sales consultants in various places across the country.

The company has a presence throughout the United States, Europe, and Canada. The corporate headquarters is located in Severna Park, MD while its products are designed, manufactured, refurbished, and distributed from its facility in Stevensville, MD. Today Dynasplint Systems, Inc. offers a line of 95 systems in a wide variety, each designed to treat a specific peripheral body joint--the jaw, shoulder to finger and knee to toe.
