Description

Colby Community College is accepting applications for a full-time Assistant Athletic Trainer.  This position coordinates the prevention, management, and rehabilitation of athletic injuries sustained by student-athletes across 11 varsity sports. Colby Community College is a member of the National Junior College Athletic Association and competes in the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference. The salary range for this position is between $46,000 and $51,500. 

The College offers up to $2,000 in relocation reimbursement to join our wonderful community.

Salary and Benefits

$46,000 – $51,500 annually, based on experience and education.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in athletic training or a related field required.
• NATA Certification required.
• Licensed in the State of Kansas or the ability to become licensed within the first six months.
• Master’s degree in athletic training or a related field preferred.
• Experience in athletic training at the collegiate level preferred.

Requirements

• Assist with injury and illness prevention, recognition, evaluation, management, treatment, disposition, rehabilitation, and return to full competition of ColbyCC student athletes.
• Provide athletic training coverage of home events.
• Assist with student-athletes in preparing for therapy and recovery.
• Assist with dressing and undressing/removing braces and/or supportive equipment.
• Communicate with the athletic coaching staff regarding the athlete's injury status.
