Description
Huntingdon College, a small NCAA Division III liberal arts school in Montgomery, Alabama, is accepting applications for the position of Assistant Athletic Trainer (employed through Huntingdon College). The Athletic Training staff at Huntingdon College works with the head team physician and administration to provide a comprehensive sports medicine program, including injury prevention programs, injury evaluations, injury management, treatment and rehabilitation, educational programs, and counseling of student-athletes. Sport assignments are negotiable. The successful candidate will document injuries/ illnesses and communicate with coaches regularly. The Athletic Trainers are responsible for all home competitions and practices for their assigned sports team, and travels occasionally as availability allows. Pay is yearly salary and based on experience/years of practice. This twelve (12) month contract with benefits requires minimal summer team coverage and provides opportunities for extra summer income with sports camps. Athletic Trainers will mentor future AT's (Masters and undergraduate students) and enjoy a positive, teamwork-oriented learning environment.

Requirements
YEARS OF EXPERIENCE:
Two (2) years of experience related to the above duties is preferred but not required.
EDUCATION:
Bachelor's or Master’s Degree
CERTIFICATION/LICENSES:
Current National Athletic Trainers Association Board of Certification (BOC) Certification*
Current Alabama Athletic Trainer Licensure or eligible to apply for state licensure*
Current National Provider Identification (NPI) Number or eligible to apply for NPI Number.
Current CPR./AED Certification (American Red Cross or American Heart Association)
*All Athletic Trainers must be BOC certified and obtain Alabama licensure prior to providing care to Huntingdon College student-athletes.
