Description
The University of North Carolina at Pembroke (UNCP) invites applications for a full-time Lecturer/Athletic Trainer position within the Department of Kinesiology and the Department of Athletics. This 9-month faculty appointment combines undergraduate instruction with clinical athletic training responsibilities in an NCAA Division II athletics program.
The successful candidate will teach undergraduate courses as assigned by the Department of Kinesiology while providing comprehensive athletic healthcare services for assigned intercollegiate athletic teams. Responsibilities include injury prevention, evaluation, treatment, rehabilitation, emergency care, attendance at practices and competitions, team travel, maintenance of electronic medical records, supervision of graduate assistant athletic trainers, and collaboration with physicians, coaches, and athletics administrators.
Additional duties include participation in departmental initiatives and administrative responsibilities as assigned by the Department Chair and Senior Associate Athletics Director. Evening and weekend work is required.

Requirements
Required Qualifications
Master's degree in Athletic Training, Kinesiology, Exercise Science, or related field.
Board of Certification (BOC) certification.
Current CPR/AED certification.
Licensed or eligible for Athletic Training licensure in North Carolina by August 2026.
Ability to provide athletic training services in a collegiate athletics setting.
Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience teaching in higher education.
Collegiate athletic training experience.
Experience supervising athletic training students and/or graduate assistant athletic trainers.
Demonstrated success in injury rehabilitation and return-to-play outcomes.
Experience with electronic medical record systems.
