The Assistant Athletic Trainer will assist in the daily health care of student athletes and athletic training room operation under the direction of the Associate AD for Sports Medicine and Director of Athletic Training Services; will record and maintain appropriate medical records; will work with other Certified Athletic Trainers to provide daily practice/event coverage and travel with assigned sport(s). The Assistant AT will have possible opportunities to work with Women's Volleyball/Lacrosse as well as Men's Basketball and Track and Field. The Assistant AT will also assist other sports as needed. Will supervise and evaluate athletic training students in the clinical setting; will maintain inventory and supplies; will screen and refer injured/ill student-athletes to team physicians; and will always represent Radford University and the Sports Medicine Department with the utmost professionalism.

Requirements
Advanced degree in Athletic Training, Sports Medicine, or related field or equivalent education and experience; Board of Certification (BOC Certified); Virginia Athletic Training Licensure or eligible; Basic Life Support or CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer
Board of Certification (BOC Certified); Virginia Athletic Training Licensure or Eligible; BLS or CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working in an NCAA Athletic Setting; Experience with electronic medical records.
