Description
Southeastern University is a Christian institution seeking applications for the position of Assistant Athletic Trainer/Football oversight. The mission of SEU athletics is: To develop Southeastern athletes holistically: physically, academically, and spiritually. As a department, we strive to foster character, servant leadership, and the development of life skills while providing a professional environment in Christian athletics.
SEU is located in Lakeland, Florida, which is 50 miles southwest of Orlando and 35 miles east of Tampa. The Fire compete in 18 intercollegiate sports and is a member of the NAIA's Sun Conference, in addition to competing in the Appalachian Athletic Conference for Wrestling.
As a Christ-centered institution, the selected applicant must live a life in line with Christian values, while incorporating his/her faith into daily interactions with athletes, coaches, and colleagues. Women, minorities, and persons with disability are encouraged to apply.
Requirements
A highly sought-after candidate will be a professional who demonstrates a strong desire to immerse themselves into the care and well-being of the student-athlete. Collegiate football experience is needed with 1-2 years of direct care. Expectations of the position will be, but not limited to, daily therapeutic efforts, physician referrals, prophylactic measures, acute and chronic injury management, athlete education, and practice/game coverage. Travel will be expected to all away events.
Other duties may be assigned by the Head Athletic Trainer
Current on CPR/AED certification. Current Florida State Licensure or eligible.
