Now Hiring: Full-Time High School Athletic Trainer & Health Teacher

Are you passionate about student wellness, athletic performance, and making a meaningful impact in the lives of young people? Somerset Academy is seeking a dedicated, certified Athletic Trainer & Health Teacher to join our outstanding faculty and athletic department.
This unique full-time position offers the opportunity to play a vital role both on the field and in the classroom. As our Athletic Trainer, you will help ensure the health, safety, and well-being of our student-athletes through injury prevention, evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation. As a Health Teacher, you will inspire and educate students by promoting healthy lifestyles, informed decision-making, and lifelong wellness habits.

Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
Athletic Trainer Duties:
Provide on-site care and rehabilitation for student-athletes across all sports
Develop injury prevention and strength training programs
Maintain medical records and communicate with parents, coaches, and physicians
Be present for practices, games, and school sporting events
Health Teacher Duties:
Teach engaging, standards-based health classes to students in grades 9–12
Cover topics including nutrition, mental health, substance abuse prevention, and personal wellness
Incorporate real-world scenarios and hands-on learning strategies
Collaborate with the PE and wellness departments to support a healthy school culture
Qualifications:
Master's degree in Athletic Training, Health Education, or related field
Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) and CPR/AED certified
Valid Teaching License with endorsement in Health Education (or eligibility to obtain)
Previous experience in a school setting strongly preferred
Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
