Description
Idaho Hand Center is a busy orthopedic subspecialty clinic is seeking a Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) to join our team and provide outstanding patient care in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Job Duties Include:
Assist physicians during clinic by rooming patients, obtaining and documenting medical history, medications, surgical history, and other pertinent information in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
Assist physicians with orthopedic procedures including cast and splint application/removal, brace fitting, dressing changes, suture removal, injections, and minor in-office procedures.
Provide patient education regarding treatment plans, post-operative care, rehabilitation protocols, durable medical equipment (DME), and home exercise programs.
Coordinate patient flow to ensure efficient and timely clinic operations.
Schedule surgeries and assist with surgery-related documentation and patient communication.
Obtain insurance pre-authorizations/pre-certifications for surgeries, imaging, medications, and procedures as needed.
Manage post-operative phone calls, patient questions, prescription refill requests, and coordination of care with pharmacies and other healthcare providers.
Maintain clean, organized, and properly stocked exam and procedure rooms; order medical supplies as needed.
Perform administrative duties including answering telephones, scheduling appointments, greeting patients, updating medical records, handling correspondence, and other duties assigned by physicians, administrators, or clinical leadership.
Qualifications:
Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) certification required; Idaho licensure (or ability to obtain licensure) preferred.
Orthopedic, sports medicine, or surgical clinic experience preferred.
Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR) required.
Familiarity with health insurance processes, surgery scheduling, and insurance pre-authorizations is highly desirable.
Strong computer skills and attention to detail are essential.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a friendly, energetic, and professional demeanor.

Position is full time, approximately 32–40 hours per week.
