Athletic Trainer – Full-Time
Shippensburg Physical Therapy & Sports Medicine is a physical therapist-owned private practice located in South Central Pennsylvania. We are currently seeking a motivated and dedicated full-time Athletic Trainer to support our ongoing outreach partnership with the Shippensburg Area School District. This position will work collaboratively as part of a two-person athletic training team to provide comprehensive sports medicine coverage and athlete care.

Requirements
Qualifications
- Master’s degree (MS/MEd) preferred
- Current NATA-BOC Certification required
- Current Pennsylvania Athletic Trainer License required (Entry-level graduates with NATA certification will be considered)
- Strong clinical decision-making skills with the ability to perform quick injury evaluations and treatment assessments
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
Responsibilities
- Provide athletic training services for home athletic contests and practices
- Evaluate injuries and develop treatment plans focused on improving functional outcomes and preventing re-injury
- Educate athletes on injury prevention, recovery, and safe return-to-play practices
- Serve as a liaison between physicians, specialists, the school district, athletes, and parents
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of injuries, treatments, and athlete status
- Assist with the coordination and implementation of pre-participation sports physicals
- Communicate regularly with coaches and the athletic director regarding athlete medical eligibility in accordance with district and state regulations
- Provide intermittent clinical support within Shippensburg Physical Therapy & Sports Medicine as needed
